Henri Chew BCom LLB
Principal

Henri Chew's legal career commenced with part-time work whilst in his final year at university with a firm named Metaxas & Vernon (as it was then known). After graduating from university, Henri commenced his articles under Arthur Metaxas. He was admitted to practice in 2003. Henri practised in areas dealing with commercial/business law and commercial litigation. He completed part of his restricted practice at Metaxas & Vernon and left that firm late in 2003 to commence employment at a medium sized law firm in Maylands. Henri was made an Associate in 2004 after finishing his restricted practice.

He remained working as an Associate, primarily dealing in general litigious matters ranging from contractual disputes to criminal defence and restraining orders up until late 2006. In late 2006, Henri decided to commence his own practice covering a broad area of law to service the needs of individuals and small to mid sized businesses.

In his spare time, Henri is a motor sport enthusiast and enjoys being out on the racetrack be it a spectator or racing himself.

Tom Styles
Consultant

Tom Styles qualified as a Solicitor in England in 1965 and immigrated to Western Australia in 1977. He was employed and subsequently a partner with Parker and Parker in Perth for twelve years (including 3 years establishing the firm's Hong Kong office) until December 1990 when he left to run his own commercial law practice. This continued until 2003 and after consulting at a medium sized law firm for four years he then moved to Success Legal as a Consultant in January 2007.

Throughout his career Tom has practised commercial and business law in the areas of The Purchase and Sale of Business Assets, Leasing and Franchising, Wills and Trusts (including superannuation), Administration of Estates and Inheritance Matters, Guardianship Matters and Powers of Attorney.

Tom's spare time is devoted to looking after his two teenage children whose activities and transport requirements keep him very busy out of work hours.

Ka-ren Chew
Solicitor

Ka-ren Chew is a Solicitor at Success Legal. She handles conveyancing matters and has expertise in debt recovery, personal injury and compensation.

Ka-ren was admitted to practice in 2005 and underwent her articles training with Nicolas Goiran. Ka-ren then made the move to Success Legal in late 2006.

In her spare time, Ka-ren enjoys needle-craft and spending time with her children.

Marilyn Krawitz
Solicitor

Marilyn Krawitz was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (Honours) from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Marilyn moved to Perth in 2006 and studied law at UWA, where she graduated with distinction. Marilyn clerked at Success Legal while she was a student.

After graduation, Marilyn completed her articles at a medium sized law firm specializing in litigation and commercial law. Marilyn was admitted as a lawyer in 2010 and began working at Success Legal again in early 2011.

Outside of work, Marilyn enjoys playing tennis, writing and volunteering in the community. Marilyn is the editor of the ‘Pro Deo’ legal column in the Maccabean newspaper in Perth. She is also studying for her Master of Business Management degree part-time.

Larry Chew
Practice Manager

A professional manager with more than 25 years of successful cross-industry management experience.

Larry brings to the practice his vast experience in corporate, human resources, marketing, and supply management. Along with other professional qualifications he has a Masters degree in Human Resource Management, is a certified professional of the Australian Human Resource Institute, a Certified Practicing Marketer, and a Certified Purchasing Manager.

Sheila Wallace
Administrative Assistant

Sheila joined our team in December 2008 as an administrative assistant, taking over from Tanya who is now the proud mum of Alyssa Jane.

Despite having no prior experience working in a law firm Sheila has taken up the challenge and is enjoying the new direction returning to full time employment has brought.

In her spare time Sheila enjoys reading, solving Sudoku puzzles and attending live theatre performances, especially musicals.

Nicole Gorman
Administrative Assistant

Nicole studied at Murdoch University and graduated with a Bachelor of Legal Studies in March 2010. She joined the team at Success Legal in April of the same year in the role of Administrative Assistant.

On the weekend Nicole enjoys cocktails, knitting and catching up with friends.
